Nervous System Informed Coaching

Healing doesn’t begin by fixing what is “wrong.” It begins by supporting what is already right within you. Together we build stability in your nervous system and reconnect you with your natural strengths, your core self, and your body’s innate intelligence. I draw primarily on Somatic Experiencing® and integrate complementary approaches—including Reiki, hypnosis, NLP, and artistic expression—to support lasting, embodied change.
You can experience this work in:
- private office sessions
- or in partnership with the horses through Equine Assisted Somatic Coaching
In a coaching session with Susan, you will be encouraged to lean into your rhythm and nature: in other words, whatever is already working for you. You will soon find yourself able to zero in on obstacles and turn them into steps to success.

Somatic Experiencing® Coaching Sessions
Designed especially for those experiencing overwhelm, shutdown, or feeling stuck, these sessions support your nervous system in coming back into flow. As your body regains safety and capacity, we identify small, realistic steps that align with your core self. Your goals are no longer driven by pressure, but by the natural momentum of a regulated system.
Equine Assisted Somatic Coaching Sessions
These sessions offer the same nervous system–focused support in partnership with the horses. Through slow, guided groundwork, you learn to track your body, regulate in real time, and experience authentic connection without pressure or performance. As your system settles, new patterns of safety, confidence, and alignment with your core self begin to emerge—naturally and at your own pace.

About Susan
About Susan
Susan brings the soul of an artist to her work as a nervous system–informed coach. She specializes in supporting people who feel stuck, shut down, or disconnected from their natural flow.
Through body-centered Somatic Experiencing® and gentle, strength-based practices, she helps clients restore regulation, access their core self, and move toward a life that feels both creative and grounded.
Her work in partnership with horses and other therapy animals—along with her soul-based watercolor classes—offers experiential pathways for clients to rediscover their natural rhythm and capacity for connection.
Susan earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Prescott College and became a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner in 2011. At heart she is an artist, and she experiences each day as a creative process inspired by nature, color, and presence.

What Is Somatic Experiencing®?
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a gentle, evidence-based approach for restoring nervous system balance and resilience.
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is the part of us that responds automatically to life—shaping how we handle stress, relate to others, make decisions, and experience rest, energy, and emotion. When we become overwhelmed—whether through trauma, chronic stress, or the accumulation of life experiences—this system can lose its natural flexibility.
SE helps the nervous system rediscover its ability to regulate, so you can feel more present, connected, and at ease in your life.
Developed from over forty-five years of clinical application and informed by neuroscience, stress physiology, psychology, biology, and traditional healing practices, Somatic Experiencing® works by supporting the body’s innate capacity to heal.
