Nervous System Informed Coaching
by Susan Vose, MA, SEP
Frequently, people think that focusing on what is wrong will solve their problems. While that can be true, in a way, that’s not the best place to start. The first step in our process is actually to build on your strengths. Each of us has an innate wisdom. It’s that wisdom that makes real changes in our life. I help people connect to that wisdom using evidence based approaches like somatic experiencing but also through my training as a reiki master, hypnotist, NLP, and through artistic expression.
In a coaching session with Susan, you will be encouraged to lean into your rhythm and nature: in other words, whatever is already working for you. You will soon find yourself able to zero in on obstacles and turn them into steps to success.

Equine Activities with Susan
Horses are master teachers. They reflect our inner selves back to us beyond the level of word or thought, guiding us to shift out consciousness in the gentlest but deepest of ways.
Create Flow with Susan
Find balance and presence with water, paint, and brushes. Create Flow classes focus on process, not product. This is a safe space for beginners and professionals. Create Flow is not a painting technique class; it is about self-discovery through flow and fun. Each class in the six-class series is two and a half hours.

What is Somatic Experiencing®
Somatic Experiencing®, or SE, is an evidence-based approach toward facilitating nervous system health. More specifically, SE is about the repair and healing of the autonomic nervous system, or ANS. The ANS is the part of us that reacts not only to our environment but to our thoughts and memories.
Whenever we become overwhelmed there is a chance of ANS injury. We can be overwhelmed by many different experiences at different stages of life – from witnessing our first-grade teacher repeatedly scolding classmates to panicking over difficult decisions. We can also be overwhelmed when we experience trauma. It is as if we lose contact with our wise self. This sort of injury can impact our lives as adults.
Somatic Experiencing® is an integration of multidisciplinary studies including stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, traditional healing practices, and medical biophysics with over forty-five years of successful application. Somatic Experiencing® works by helping the ANS find a balanced way of functioning.
